FAQ

Experience Somatic Healing for Deep Renewal

Find clear, thoughtful answers to your questions about somatic reconditioning and embodied healing services.

What is somatic reconditioning and how can it help me?

Somatic reconditioning is a gentle, body-centered approach to healing. We listen to the sensations, breath, and wisdom already living in your body — helping release what’s been held, restore natural ease, and welcome back aliveness, presence, and joy. It’s not about forcing anything; it’s about creating safety so your body can lead.

How are sessions conducted?

All sessions are held via audio-only Zoom calls. There is no video sharing — no need to turn on your camera or be seen on screen. This format helps keep your personal space completely safe and private, reduces any extra anxiety about being watched or performing, and lets you stay fully focused on your body’s sensations and inner experience. You can be in whatever position or environment feels most comfortable — pajamas, blanket, dim lights, lying down — whatever supports you best.

What happens in a session?

We meet through audio-only Zoom call. You can sit, lie down, or move in whatever way feels comfortable. We start with simple awareness — noticing breath, grounding, or a place of ease. From there, your body guides us: perhaps a gentle movement, a longer exhale, or just resting in presence. There’s no pressure to talk deeply, revisit stories, or feel anything you’re not ready for.

Do I need to share personal information or trauma?

No — you are never required to share personal details, history, or trauma stories. This is a safe, confidential space where you are in complete control of what you choose to say. The only information needed is gentle, general awareness of how you’re being affected right now — for example, “I feel tightness in my chest,” “my energy feels low,” or “I notice a lot of restlessness.” This helps guide the work while fully respecting your privacy and boundaries. Many people experience deep relief and uplift in both body and spirit simply through the somatic process itself — without needing to disclose details or revisit the past.

Is this safe if I carry a lot of stress or trauma?

Safety is the foundation of everything we do. We move slowly, in small steps, always checking in with what your body is ready for. You are in charge of pacing — you can pause, stop, or shift focus at any time. I am here to support you, not push you.

How is this different from talk therapy?

Talk therapy often focuses on stories and understanding. Somatic reconditioning starts with the body — noticing sensations, breath, and movement — to help release patterns that live below words. Many people combine both approaches; they complement each other beautifully.

How many sessions will I need?

There’s no set number. Some people notice shifts after just a few sessions; others choose to go deeper over time. We go at your body’s pace — you decide what feels right.

Is this a substitute for medical or mental health care?

No. Somatic reconditioning is complementary support. It is not a replacement for medical treatment, psychotherapy, or crisis care. If you are in crisis or have serious mental health concerns, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

Healing Through the Body, Rooted in Compassion

At the heart of this work is the understanding that your body is wise, resilient, and sacred. It already holds everything needed for healing — the memories, the wisdom, the longing for ease and joy. We don’t rush or force. We simply create a space where your body feels truly met, truly safe, and truly seen. In that space, release happens naturally, regulation returns gently, and joy begins to rise — not as something you have to chase, but as something you rediscover is already yours. This is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming home to who you already are.
